I hope so my last company has ano rehire policy. my wife worries about me driving a bomb down the road in the LA area. the job is easy hardest part is pulling out the hoses. i havent had a raise in 8 years so im looking forward to work walmart and being treated well and my hard wworking mentality recognized ..does any one know what health insurance cost per month for a spouse and 3 kids?

 

maybe in a year or so I can get on a program like a 6/3 rotation. will we be required to work Christmas day?

 

Hard to tell you. Rates are different for each state. For me its about 68 going up to around 76 for family. We have three different style of plans to choose from that fit our life. Again this is what is offered in Texas so I am sure it will be different in Cali. You will be better appreciated here form verbals to food to awards.

 

we do not work christmas day or new years day. Everyone is off the the road christmas eve by 2000 and new years day is volunteers only at least at my DC.

Nice! Im tired of missing Christmas and being out with the drunks on new years driving a fuel truck around!

 

After 16 years with the company I realize what you say is true, my point was don't count on it. Yes you may get lucky, but chances are you won't. Again it does depend on the DC and who the GTM is as to whether there is even an outside chance if getting weekends off. The guy said he was off every weekend where he is at now.......I'll bet a paycheck that ain't gonna happen at Wal-Mart! Oh by the way, at our DC they are not continuing the week on/week off, or the 6/3 anymore. Our GTM likes 5 on 5 off with rotating days off....two guys on the truck. And, the Regional Manager is backing him up on it. He also likes the 3 day work week, as in Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

 

Hey there mike5511! Are you out of bentonville ? Was curious if you have heard if they are gonna be doing any hiring out of that dc anytime soon. Its the closest one to where I live. Thanks in advance
