    true blue,
Would you please share with me just one (1) bonafide fact that Harold Annett is a thief?
Just one. An arrest record? A mug shot? Anything?
I too, had a lazy, good for nothing trainer at TMC, but I documented his actions to the training department and was swapped to another trainer and the first guy never trained again. My second trainer was great and retired from TMC a couple of years ago.I never allowed my success or failure to rest on anyone else but me. There are bad apples in every company. TMC too, I am sure, but your experience in 2008 has no relevance to TMC today.
Posting hearsay, rumors and truck stop BS in a public forum is just sour grapes.
I don't know who Dave is and, no, I am not Dave. The securement instructor I had was a guy named Don. But he is back driving a truck now and the new guy, Michael, is fabulous, so you see things change, bad apples are discarded. Just like Mr. Annett relieved his son Tim when he proved he couldn't cut it.
The issues you were whining about have all been dealt with since 2008 when you spent your two weeks collecting rumors. The point I was trying to make is that what you experienced five years ago is not reality today. I am sure some folks will have a bad experience, but that is true for every company.
MSNBC? Never, Fox news, well I would think about it....
I'm still waiting for those facts.....

The biggest problem I saw that I attribute to Tim Annett is I think he was getting very greedy and pushing operations to push the drivers to the max causing a lot of the accident issues...while it's still drivers responsibility to shut down when tired, a lot of them wouldn't for fear they wouldn't make any $$..I know that had to just make Harold's blood boil just to see the cost of body work needing to be done on that equipment plus all the freight claims as well...

A good company to work for stands on it's own..It certainly does not need a hack to defend it.This tenfortyfive guy is an insult to even the very average intelligence.

Let's not turn this into a political discussion guys, or I'll have to close this thread.

1045, if what you say is true, and I'm in no position to prove that it ain't, then I salute Mr. Annett for standing up and taking charge. Bad apples everywhere need to be shown the door, even when it's family.

A lot of former CEO's start to take a hands-off attitude after a while, and that's when good companies usually go bad.

TenFortyfive, you can ignore the reasons I gave - that's your choice.
As for when I went to TMC, who said it was 2008? I didn't mention when it was. You assume a lot and you are often incorrect.
This is 2014. I didn't even say when I reactivated my authority.
You have your opinions, I have mine. You are upset that mine were not agreeable to yours.
If someone had left TMC with a short but enjoyable two weeks and posted a positive reply, would you tell him that he shouldn't post that positive story since he only spent 2-3 weeks there? No, I didn't think so. So your real problem lies with the fact that I shared my negative experience and you don't like it. Well, all I can say is, learn to live with it. Grow up. I've had plenty of years working for good and bad companies and I have just as much a right to share my opinion as you do. We both shared, so let it lie where it is. End of the conversation between you and me.

Well said True Blue... I find it funny how ten whatever doesn't understand this forum and how this section of this forum works. You could have had a problem about TMC's grass policy and wanted to warn drivers about that...We take care of ourselves and watch out for our brother trucker out here. If I decide to go to TMC for work, it's good to know about potential problems or issues. TMC is not the greatest thing since sliced bread, I have met with a few of their drivers on the road being from Iowa myself. Pull in the night next to a fellow Iowa driver and share stories and information... True Blue, you're not the only one who notices TMC is a "different" company to work for...For some that atmosphere will fit like a glove, for others it will lead to problems. Maybe that is the image TMC wants. You either fit their mold or you they weed you out...

    Maybe this?

Looks like you said 2008 to me. If not then when did you work for them, 2009? As you said he was "often incorrect" and not that he WAS incorrect so it looks like he it read it correctly.

Playing games with your words like this is starting to question the integrity of what you posted before.

When I read your original post I came away with the impression that you felt too good to go through their training due to your prior experience so you rubbed elbows with the trainer. It really sounded like you were more interested in showing the trainer up then getting employed with TMC.

If TMC's standards and hiring practices demand a better class of driver than that which only the usual bottom feeders would take, then that's fine. That is their call to make. But there's got to be a deal sweetener, and simply being offered a shiny Peterbilt to drive, that can't even reach the top end of it's powerband in the big hole, doesn't quite cut it in my opinion.

If they demand only premium drivers, then there needs to be premium pay and benefits. THIS premium driver would demand nothing less.

Ubu, you and TenFortyfive seem to be competing for who is the best detective. You're trying so hard to pin down the year I was actually there, yet you keep coming up short. Are you planning on sifting through all the applications for back then so you can identify me? Sorry, I won't give you the satisfaction of telling you both what year I was there. Keep scratching your heads. Since you and he share the same affection for Mr. Annett and TMC, maybe you can get each other's cell phone numbers and share your love stories for the company. My response to your questions can just be summed up in Mack's response to yours. Cya!
