I've searched these threads under Roehl in great detail, and even asked a current driver (even called the company, no answer after 15 mins of wait while transferred through 4 people) but there's still no clear answer. Does Roehl allow any tattoos to be visible? I can wear long sleeves year 'round no problem, but I have both hands and knuckles done too. They're military themed, and have none on my neck or face.

Looking at Roehl a lil more cause of their "Honor Program", plus I love flatbed work. Does anyone have any concrete info on this policy, or is it company discretion for the most part?

    Thank you for your time!

Almost all military guys i know all have tats... As long as there not offensive, No one should have a problem.

But, One question.... Why didnt you think about stuff like this BEFORE you got them on areas they cannot be covered for work purposes??

I've seen drivers here with visible tats. Actually was talking to one the other day. He has one on his lower throat area, and on his fingers too. He's in flats. Nothing I could tell to be offensive though.

The company I'm working for now (I run an airport) doesn't care as long as they're not offensive. However, the owners advised me that they're in talks with another company to sell them the operational rights. They can't guarantee my position, so I'm falling back on my trucking experience from the Army. I also had full sleeves working law enforcement years ago. It helped quite a bit dealing with the military town I worked in. Gave me a way to build rapport with people.

I don't regret getting them, and knew how most companies/organizations view people with them. That's why I kept them military related, so they wouldn't be "as" bad.

I'm already accepted at another company, but the more I look into Roehl the more I like their package deal.

The only company I've found that has issues and requires visible tgats to be covered is averitt transportation. They do regional and offer flatbed. But they are strict on whom they hire usually.

KW Cajun: It's a road name I got a few years ago because I wear a beanie all the time even in the summer heat (did it when I lived in Texas for awhile this past summer during the fires). The correct spelling of it is: touque (it's French/Canadian, which I am neither lol). My Brother started calling me that and it just stuck, of course the spelling was changed so that it may be easier to pronounce correctly the 1st time.

Aha! It's also not my first run-in with French Canadian named hats. I once had to pick up a Cajun girl at the airport, and she described what she'd be wearing... blue parka with a white "chapeau". At the time I didn't know what a chapeau was. I asked her, and she laughed and explained it was a style of hat.
BTW, I'm also a former tuque wearer. I used to wear one a boatload of times up north, but you have me beat by wearing it summer & winter.;)

I've seen it spelled several ways, especially on any French Canadian words. They are often spelled with many variations.
Here's an interesting article... Toque, tuque or touque?
