I gather you don't think he should pursue this carreer? If so why? With respect can I ask you what this condition has to do with driving a semi?
I am an antisocial MBA student considering a whole new career in trucking.

It's not a bad thing. We just don't understand things like etiquette and social graces.
You might be surprised who in your family might have it. The signs are subtle.
-
I doubt he even read the entire post.

Tonythetruckerdude, fld, Mr Ed and 2 others Thank this.
-
When I visit threads if its not overly long I like to read every posts, especialy what the op has to say before automatically down grading them.
-
pattyj and bigdogpile Thank this.

I'm more surprised, and equally disappointed, at some of the responses that the OP is getting.
I'd like to remind everyone that personal attacks will not be tolerated here. Remember, this is a trucking site. And here in open forum we are brother truckers before anything else.
If that simple request is too much to ask for anyone, than please, do us a favor and find somewhere else on the web to hang out. -
That's what the forum is all about everyone agrees to disagree ,very opinionated as long as its done tastefully.I don't know anything about this condition either..Some mental disorders I do agree, ppl shouldn't drive, especially if its not fully in control. The op probably has a car and hes doing just fine.

I try to read every single posts before giving my opinion.Alot of times the more posts you read the better your feelings are on the subject.

I own many firearms and I take firearms safety VERY seriously, as any responsible gun owner does.
But like I said, if anyone is non-functional they wouldn't pass the test anyway. Very few Aspie's are non-functional. More people have it than you may realize, possibly even yourself.
I would suggest to everyone here that they read a little about it. It doesn't have to be anything heavy like the book I diagnosed myself with, just a little light reading here on the interwebz. You may find yourself surprised, or, hopefully at least, a little educated.Last edited: Jan 12, 2014
