So, your back is against the wall, but you wont drive a company truck OR go over the road to catch up?
My wife and kids would laugh at me if I tried that line, when it comes to having a roof over their heads.
One very important question has not been answered from my reading.....
Has the truck been repaired or not????????
Which axle is it that took a dump???
I have bought used parts in the past, and turned plenty of wrenches myself. If it isn't fixed yet, then there are options.
Plenty of us pull RGN's, and that truck can be loaded onto one.
Plenty of us have knowledge and tools to swap a rear end out, in a parking lot if needed.
Plenty of us are willing to help with time, expertise and tools.
The help is there, IF you want to help yourself.
If it is the rear axle, then I would cut the drive shaft out if needed and lock in the power divider. It gets you rolling.
If its the front, why not take a 3rd member on offer and disconnect the rear axle?
See what I mean by options?
You sound like a hard worker, but maybe pride and a defeatist attitude are holding you back IMHO.

Call me what you will, whenever you choose, but YOU came on here asking for help etc, and then slam the people that took the time to reply! All the time, while not answering some pretty specific questions, and ruling out the easiest options.....

When I was leased onto a carrier, my front diff went and the reman replacement cost was quoted more than I paid for a remanned transmission (part only). Went and bought a front diff from a junk yard for $1600, paid $100 for it to be sent out to me, and paid the shop to install it.
Three years later, it's still going strong.
Not that you want to hear it, but your financial planning needs a tune-up even if you get out of this mess. I know you wanted your loan paid off quickly, but you failed to account for the inevitable money-drain that is bound to spring up from time to time.
From reading this entire thread, I can see you've learned it, but you're also not in the best financial position to be putting up stipulations. Selling it, paying off the note, going back to a company truck for a while is NOT a bad thing.
My friend is experiencing a similar problem to you. He owns his own truck outright, but is leased onto a carrier. He doesn't have the credit to buy his own trailer, etc to get his own authority. Due to some poor choices earlier in life, he owes money to the IRS, and they've been taking almost all available money, including repair money. His headgasket went, and he's stuck at a shop with no ability to pay (any time he gets a large amount of money, the IRS adjusts up how much he owes). And just the headgasket job is $6500, while no one is interested in financing a loan nor even giving a good rate for his truck ($4500 is the best offer he could get). Which looks like he's going to sell it, get a company truck for a while, and try again when his finances are in better shape.NavigatorWife Thanks this.
