Does "Integrated" mean you have to pay for both services....or just set up for either one you wish?

Definetly get one with replay. I listen to talk radio and I can pause it while I'm out of the truck and skip the commercials later. Or replay a good song
-
if you buy a new radio you might as well buy one with Sirius installed
no headaches ever again -

You can get these at your better/bigger truck stops and the hookup is typically universal so you just unplug and r&r the factory radio and plug in the new radio, plus the xm/sirius antenna. If you have mirrors that will support the "pedestal/mushroom" style xm/sirius antenna, use that. The smaller magnetic "stick-on" antennas don't provide quite the same level of performance as the rigid mirror mount style that is on a "riser" and mounts on a mirror bracket arm. -
Sirrius and XM are NOT the same. It is the same company.....but two completely different services.

I'm using the in dash unit now, only because it seems to work magically.
But really prefer a separate radio.
For the bigger display, and some of the other features. -
shop online for the better deals for sat radios. Amazon is a great place with many sellers. Can get a discontinued model for cheaper too. I have the XM Edge sat radio(now discontinued) full display which is nice. Butit is SiriusXm compatible, meaning I can get the all access package for the whole lineup I'm not limited to the XM only range of stations.
My exp with the stock antenna is too much cutout from overpasses , hills etc. I opted for one of the trucker/RV aftermarket antennas on Amazon too. Have gotten signal through at least half for the tunnels I run regularly. Some signal loss but not enough to cutout the content.
Another add on or option is to buy the little Iphone speakers? produce good sound and can be put inline to create stereo too. Wouldnt have to worry about no aux jack on the dash fm receiver.Roadmedic Thanks this. -
I just put the Alpine cde-sxm145bt in my truck today .
Man it is nice being able to hook my phone to the radio by bluetooth !!!
I had a Alpine CDA9853 with the SIR-ALP1 for sirius in it until today.
Now I can listen to my audible app and the Itunes both with no wires or hassles .
I don't know how anyone can drive a truck with out Sirius and a good system in the truck .
