Loves at Max Meadows, Va. Twas my turn for the good day. 672.5 all interstate miles for a change. That company routing I had yesterday on hwy 67 thru Amsterdam, NY was marginal at best. Won"t be taking that road again along with a few others I have been routed down. No more Troutville, Va Pilot either.

To Crete's credit, they have ran me very well since I let my FM know it would be my last RDO 21. A lot of companies would have pulled the plug.

If you have sleep apnea they did you you a favor. Left untreated it will kill you eventually by causing you to drown from your fluid build up in your lungs. It's called congestive heart failure and it's not a very fun way to go. They probably just added 20 years to your life.

ok So 4.5 hours to unload Bud-dumber then a short deadhead to the next shipper. Over 3 hours there and I'm ready to go. Routing was more than a little rural to say the least. I finally get to the Loves in Mississippi (yes I said it as I typed) on I55 with 3 minutes on my 14 :biggrin_25521: That's the closest I have ever stretched my clock. But I have all interstate tomorrow. I should make Effingham (always feel naughty when I say that) at 616 miles. The load is supposed to deliver tomorrow near Chi-town but since they took the rocket boosters off of this truck I won't be making that. I turned down the load first but it's one of those "just go get it and let us know "safe and legal" ETA" I know it's a drop on the other end so it shouldn't be too bad.

Oh and I found out a little more about Miss Congeniality. Turns out she re-powered the load but the previous driver forgot to leave the bills in the nose box. She had been sitting there all day and they wouldn't unload her plus nobody at Crete could get anything faxed in for her. If it had been me I never would have left the yard without paperwork. Oh and two other Cretens got to the distributer just minutes after 1200 and were turned away. Told to come back Monday! When they say noon they mean it :biggrin_25516:

The problem isn't whether the driver has apnea or not, it's the quality of the testing and the proper diagnosis...plus they give you no other option but THEIR machine. There are alternatives for mild cases of obstructive apnea. Crete's failure rate was waaaaaaay above the average. I really don't think Crete was attracting an excessive number of apnea drivers.
