Look at this link to an Sirius/XM radio Amazon.

In that last picture you will see a "dock" that the radio itself sits in. The dock has a weak FM transmitter in it that allows your truck's radio to pick up the signal as if it were a broadcast radio station. Alternately, there is an Audio Out plug on the back, if your radio has an AUX port. I would REALLY recommend a truck antenna, like the one listed below. The little one furnished by XM isn't made for big rigs. Buy the radio and antenna through Amazon. You will get a much better deal.

I ended up buying my radio from Best Buy, do not ever get one from the truck stops, they are cheap brands but high prices. I have the SiriusXM Onyx Plus which is one of I think 3 radios that play all the newer "xtra" channels, I also can pause and replay up to 1 hour of radio with mine.
Mine came with the car dock and I use the aux, it came with the magnetic antenna which works just fine for me, I bought some of that 3m velcro that holds up to 16 lbs and I attached that antenna to the roof of my truck above the windshield then ran the wire behind the rubber of the windshield on down into the passenger door.
With this setup I dont have any issues, i know a couple other drivers who also just use the magnetic antennas, I have a newer freightliner and dont want to buy the special bracket thing to use a mirror mount, also no point if my setup is working. On that note do not buy the antennas at the truck stops either, saw the mirror mount for $69.99 but you can find them online for $30 ish. -
Go here for an example.... -
I am well aware of that.
But, if the guy is a company driver, and the radio does not have that type of connection, then that is what I addressed.
Here is what the OP posted on the very first thread.
I'm wanting to get a sirius/xm radio. I drive a volvo with a stock volvo stereo, am/fm/cd. How do the sirius radios hook up to the existing radio when there arent any auxillary jacks?
Thanks. -
My stock Volvo radio does have an AUX jack. It's on the lower dash, kinda behind the steering wheel.

yeah except you have to remove the deck normally to get to the plug and a company might frown on just that.
