and I also figure just starting out it's all about getting experience isn't it I have none right now so who knows I might retire with them or in a year and half move on to something better and bring some experience with me

well at first I want to stay with flatbed just to get the experience of driving and with flat bedding I will get some exercise too I haven't gotten hazmat endorsement yet I have thought about tankers but for me I just wanted to get some actual driving experience under my belt before I started tanking

Congrats! I just graduated from TDI in Milton and 3 of our class are in Cuba right now. The one guy I keep in touch with is loving it and says everyone is doing well. I would have checked them out myself but once my wife get through school, we want to team the 48 and Canada. Home time is the last thing on our minds!
    good luck!

I hear ya I have pulled about everything there is but the most challenging was cows. I was in between driving gigs and my cousins had 3 bull wagons with teams. Ask if I wanted to drive I said sure. If you want experience that is a tester. You have to hit a 3 foot chute at night or in the rain square on so that will definitely test your driving skills and keep you in shape. I did that for about 3 months before I moved on. I had driven for several years otr before that and I gotta tell ya. If ya can hold a bull wagon in the road all the way to west Texas you can handle most everything. As you move through your career chances are you may be ask to pull most anything. Take advantage of it for a learning curve and you can write your own ticket

Did you talk to Howard Transportation, Keim TS or Boyd Bros.?

Either way, you will probably really like flatbedding. I loved it, but ended up with tankers for the money.

TDI, Truck Drivers Institute driving school. I don't think they hit their 70 so you'll be on recap the whole time.
