Montana, you should have asked me that question months ago. It's too late to worry about what happened to me. You're already in the web. Just go in with your head up and with a good attitude. That's the best you can do at this stage. Anything I tell you may cause you to have a worse experience there. Who knows? Maybe you'll be one of the few people who buck the turnover trend at that outfit. It could happen. I hope it happens.
My bone with SwiftQuit isn't about hate. It's about presenting the truth about a trucking company that tries to pass itself off as something it isn't, which is obvious for all to see when turnover is taken into account.

And while I'm asking...What exactly is SwiftQuit's turnover rate these days? Can you tell me why people quit SwiftQuit? What is the number up to on Ripoffreport today? 50+? I don't believe those guys posting on Rip are bending the truth. -
You know what Tip, I don't know what to believe. Yeah, maybe they are making things up and maybe not. What I can tell you is that I always hear other drivers within Swift complaining about how they're not getting the miles and aren't making a decent paycheck. When I ask them what's going on I come to find out they are declining loads because they don't want to go where the load is going. So, I can only assume that when things don't go the way a person wants them to, they put all the blame on someone else instead of admitting they're the problem. -
(Place right hand in the air)
I, Martinez, do solemnly swear to consider turnover as the main criteria when choosing a trucking company. I understand that truck drivers are honery, independent critters that never move in herds unless there is a good reason. I also understand that many companies have herd movements of drivers both coming in and going out. Such an unnatural state of affairs can only mean a negative outcome for drivers, so I will avoid companies that display such herd movements. If I ignore my creed, I will meet with disappointment and I ultimately will be harmed economically, both by the companies and by my own frequent periods of unemployment as I move from trucking job to trucking job.
Amen

Well tip ive been around enough beaten down ripped off abused, lost a fiance family friends over the ######## buisness i used to be in (printing) books magazines newspapers etc.. you name it i printed it at some point or another. i wish i could turn back time and stayed the hell as far away from that trade as possible.my last printing job here in montana ended with me being screwed by a so called friend (who was supervisor).thats when at 37 yrs old i said enough!!!! i chose trucking for a few reason's. one because i have no family.so ill live outta my truck. bank as much coin as possible for a few years then buy a home in beautiful montana (far away from humans).2 become an owner operator.i know how tough being an o/o is. but im a decent business man (i think) ill make it work. 3. when as owner operator i will be my own boss. then the only person that can back stab me is myself. hell im like everyone else i dont like working for someone at all. but im going to make the best of it. just for my future. so my job. stay under the radar etc.. so im aware of the brutal trucking buisness. it needs a total change period. even the terminal managers will agree. i just want to make clear to all the total scurffball truckers who tell lies as big as my neighbors wifes butt, that save it for some other rookie. ive seen it all.i know you have good intentions tip for us rookies. but when it comes down to it, the only person i can let take advantage of me well is me. peace.
