Last October 10/2013 i got two overweight tickets one day apart both in Missouri on I70. The first ticket was because load was back heavy would've paid it except next day picked up another load Bol said weight was way lighter then it was and was no scale before the weigh station so got a ticket for over gross. The shipper was supposed to pay this ticket and my Owner operator even took the money from me.After this put in my two weeks then didn't get last two weeks pay. I now work for a good company in MI. Missouri has issued me a court date for march but i'm not going so my question is what will happen if anything cause i refuse to pay cause i already did. I sent them a letter of the circumstance but they justreturned my letter unread. Also the Owner operator i worked for was leased to a big carrier if that matters? Appreciate anu advice on this. Thanks

well if it were me
I am the only one in charge of my own destiny
no matter what any one else is suppose to or should do
ignore it and reap the consequences of your inaction -
Apparently you didn't pay the fine.He may have taken money but if you're getting a court appearance ticket it was never paid.Do what you got to do but failure to appear could be a bad decision one way or another. You could go and try and fight it or get it reduced and then go after the owner operator for back pay
baha Thanks this. -
No seriously i'm not goingto Mo to fight a stupid ticket i'd just pay it if that were the case. First i can't afgord to pay and why should weas drivers be blamed for stuff that should be companies and shippers responsibility. I mostly wanna now the consequences of not oaying the overweight ticket in Missouri?

There will be a warrant issued out on you. Also your license might get suspened..

When you got the notice to appear there was probably a phone number on it.
Call the court and make arrangements to pay the ticket.
It was issued to you and you are the one they are going after.
If you do not take care of this your license will be suspended in that state.
They quicker you get this behind you the better off you will be.
I know you are going to tell me your past boss should have paid it. But, he did not do it. Now you have to pay it. -
This is a joke right? You got the ticket. Pay it. What minimum wage company do you work for now?
-
He does not currently work for the same company.
He will have consiquences if he does not address the ticket.
He has three choices,
1. Pay the ticket.
2. Appear in court.
3. Do nothing.
If he was truly guilty of being overweight I say pay the fine and not risk a warrant or suspension. -
If you have nothing in writing and YOUR name is on the ticket then you are responsible for any and all fines so have no idea why the O/O took money from your check since you would have needed to pay the ticket.Again the best course of action is to pay the fine and then persue action against the company and O/O for reimbursement. If you decide to not go to court remember you are to blame for the consequences
