Crete Carrier - A Year In Review - Fall 2013 Going Forward

my last full year there I was out 325 days and did everything I could to get miles from rolling with the punches to kicking and screaming and still didn't clear 120k miles. Last year before I left in Sept. I was averaging under 10k/month again. But I was max'd on pay, so they didn't see a need for me to turn miles

 

I made it home! After leaving Pineville, LA I was stuck in Alexandria because they decided to close down I49 for some reason and gave no alt. routes Me and a couple other drivers were looping around. You couldn't get on north or south bounds. Finally made it over the LA-1 and headed north till the interstate was open. It got icy around Dallas all the way to Cleburne where I dropped. Sweet talked the lady into letting me bobtail out since I only had 34 minutes of drive time left. So I OD'ed home.

BTW tipping the scales at 216 pounds. that's a solid 80+ pounds since October 23rd when i weighed in at 299!

 

You gonna be the "runt" of the litter before long. Good job man.

 

Thanks!, haha I don't think I will ever be that small. maybe in about 6 months I will be at my goal of 180'ish. Which was where I was at my senior year in high school. Me in Jamaica on my senior trip...see below...haha

 

I've yet to see anything interesting on the Olympics, my praying payed off in the women's hockey game , the game only had 3 quarters, like I wanted.

my problem is I'm not maxed out, I wouldn't mind running shags, getting 1800 miles a week and goofing off at docks, or running 3,000 plus mile weeks. I guess I'm a hermit with several years pay in the bank and the market. Today Wall Street was very good to me. But if they want me to run a certain number of miles, then offer them. I refuse loads all the time because they're unproductive, but oddly that's the only load available. I did find a nice car on a website in Lincoln if tomorrow is my last day here.

Thanks, I'm sitting here eat Hooters now, looking at a fine gal. But I was a union officer for like 15 years in my first job. I'm going in there fired up and if I get fired or asked to quit, I don't care. My only complaint with Crete is this 119 mile bull ####.
