You found a company that makes Crete look good? I had looked at them b4 I moved to Poly...they just didn't pay enough per mile, so that's where I stopped looking. What's making you decide?

I think whether you get a good truck is just the luck of the draw. My first solo truck had recurring electrical problems. It actually caused me to leave Crete. I came back and went through two trucks quick. But got a lot of help from my TM to get me in a better truck. From the look of your situation xls there is no urgency to do that. That's not good.

To me it seems like the desks at Crete are overloaded. Same thing with them. Luck of the draw....gotta get a good one just like the truck. If your stars align and you get a good one of both and you have a good work ethic, you can make some money.

This home time has cost me some coins! Went to the Ft. Worth Gun Show. I got my CCW I have been wanting; Springfield Armory XDs45 at a decent price. Man-0-man was it crowded there! My dad got skeered and didn't buy the Winchester 30/30 this one vendor had. He blamed my mother who wasn't even with us :biggrin_2559:. He knows his boundaries. I guess that's why they've been married for over 53 years.

Was asked if I would be willing to run a Temp Controlled Reefer that had dang good miles.....told em NO, SO I ENDED UP SITTING UNTIL THE NEXT DAY ! I have been known to pull preloaded Flats on RARE occasions before. With me Freight is all about the destination when it comes to FAVORS.

With today's quiet reefers, whats wrong with occasional reefer duty? Especially when it's good miles.

You mean the quiet reefers that Shaffer doesn't have? Those ones? :p

The only issue I take with the occasional reefer duty is ditching the reefer after. So many of our customers won't load reefers...

Now that I've gotten used to opti-idle, reefers generally no longer bother me.

Connecticut was a Charlie Foxtrot today. Oy. Glad that's over.
