Washington has approved Auto Socks for class 8 trucks. I am not sure about Oregon but we try VERY hard to avoid Oregon

Getting the On Spots and the Auto Socks have been great insurance for us... We've only had to use the On Spots once since getting them... Of course now that I've said that it will jinks us... LOL!

NoCoCraig, Lady K and vikingswen Thank this.

How do you guys like the on spot system? Do those autosocks work and how fast can you go with them? Shouldn't they be called trucksocks for a truck?
I think the onspot would be nice to have just for piece of mind.

Specially when the road looks like that and you get to that 8% downhill grade. I miss my siped lug tires from my old truck. The new one keeps breaking loose when I use the Jake brake at times. -
vikingswen Thanks this.

Have not used the Autosocks yet... Not even sure what states they are legal in yet. I know Colorado & Been told California. I know Washington allows them on cars but have not confirmed their use on trucks yet. We got them to use as drag chains when required.
On-Spots are legal even in California. You do need to watch the rules... If you have duels then you can have them on the main drive axle for min. Requirements. Maximum you will still need to chain the other drive axle.
If you have super singles, even for min. Requirements (California and a couple othe states) you will need to chain both. We installed the on-spots on both drives.vikingswen Thanks this. -
Ah... At home with a glass of Honey Jack in hand... I sure will be glad when we get the Swift way of doing things... Things SEEM to be simmering down, but don't quote me
