You guys who are defending Halliburton should talk to some former hands. It's a giant corporation and your only a number. They've done some irreparable damage to the frac industry by driving prices and wages way down to try to squeeze out the little guys. They used to have a great reputation in the oilfield but now their like the walmart. If you want it done really cheap call Halliburton but if you want quality call somebody else.

Meh. I know a current Hali frac hand and a driver, both are very happy and doing quite well financially. Obviously your experience is different.

Maybe rather than just trashing Haliburton you could take it in a positive direction and steer some others in the right direction... since you don't want to mention where you work, maybe you have some suggestions for other companies people should be applying to ahead of Haliburton?

I'll do you one better; I don't know about who said and she said; but I know you get to bill for the hours you work. You the individual decides how long you want to work.

I do know one other thing; when I put in for another location to get a transfer I had a lease on an apartment still going and to break that contract is costly. I ain't paying one dime. In fact the company paid for that and refunded me my deposit. In fact they also gave me a cool grand and refunded all my cost to go down and find a new place at my new location another 3.5 grand +. No only that; but also provided me with a free Uhaul and all the boxes and tape and Full Trailer cart to move one of my vehicles as well. This all without reaching in my pocket for 1 dime, and putting 4.5K in my pocket? ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! Hell the #### military never treated me that good.....

I'm not saying its a lot money; but 10K just to move a few hundred miles? I don't know too many companies that will come off of that cash for there employees just to relocate them.... The Benefits here are Second to NONE in my opinion...

There's lots of service companies that will do that. Pioneer was paying 15k for relocation to Victoria last year. Have you ever wondered why Halliburton usually only hires green hats. Because nobody else will work for their wages.

Everybody talk about how great the retirement and benefits are. When I worked in Oklahoma I knew at least three guys who despised them. So I asked why. There fathers had worked there, some as long as thirty years and one or two years before they were set to retire Halliburton laid them off for ######## reasons. Those aren't isolated stories either. Once you get away from Halliburton and start talking to hands from other companies you'll start to see.

Seattle I've seen you post that your making good money and your happy there. Believe me I don't have a problem with that at all. I hope you continue to make good money and be happy. All I'm saying is don't drink k the cool aid and don't ever trust them. When things get tough for whatever yard your in you'll be just a number to them. We could say the same thing for pretty much every publicly owned service company but I see so many people on this site saying how wonderful Halliburton is I don't want some new guy to turn down something else cause he's waiting on his dream job at Halliburton.

This is now your third post in this thread crapping on Haliburton while not offering a single other suggestion for better places to apply and actively ignoring the posts asking for you to do so.

At this point, your adamant "Haliburton sucks!" stance just looks like some weird personal issue you have, especially since many who work for Haliburton are so happy and doing great money-wise.

So once again, do you care to offer suggestions for other companies that you think offer better situations or are you just gonna continue with the negativity?

I'm not sure why you're so angry about ME99s posts. He's expressing his opinion. If you want to work for Halliburton, go ahead. As far as the names of other companies, how about this : Baker Hughes, Schlumberger, Weatherford, OTex, Pioneer, Pumpco, Universal, Archer ........

I would agree with the companies benn Gunn mentioned except for universal and archer. The other 9 new he named are some of the better ones. As for other frac companies.
Bayou well services would top my list. Followed by liberty in nd. And then in no particular order cj, propetro, ultra tech, Cal frac, sanjel, trican maybe. That's just a few I feel would a better choice than halliburton. The ones benn mentioned with the exception of archer and universal I feel would be much better.

Lol I'm not sure why you're getting so emotional about my post... I was just wondering why someone would get on an internet forum day after day to bash one company, and then repeatedly ignore inquiries from those who are asking for the better alternatives that he swears are out there.

Also, no one was simply asking for the names of companies, as anyone with Google or 2 minutes of research can find the names of the major players in the oilfields; rather, this forum benefits greatly from those who recommend specific companies who they know have great situations for their drivers.

His post directly above this one falls into that category.

There were no emotions from my end, brother. Perhaps you should proof-read your posts for tone and wording before pointing your finger at someone else.
