It's something about Loves that makes the doorslammers want to park in the fuel island. The last time I went to a Loves was 2 years ago. Made the mistake of trying to get fuel with an escorted load at that POS Loves in Prescott, Ar. The entrance to the TA was under construction and down to a single lane (can you say, "cluster F"?), and I thought I could save time by going to the Loves instead.
BIG mistake. Didn't even get fuel, pulled into the parking lot and pulled right back out. Hour and a half gone. Went up to Gurdon and got fuel.
Was at that big truckstop at exit 39 on 75 in the Peach State. 20 years ago, the place was packed. Nowadays, it's a ghost town. Still has the biggest parking lot on 75. The restaurant was boarded up, and had signs all over about how they moved and to come see them at the Western Sizzling across the street. Haven't eaten at one of those places in 25 years. Ugh...no wonder you see more Denny's than Western Sizzling. I have never been able to understand that banana pudding craze of the early 90s. Apple pie, I can understand. Chocolate cake I can understand. "bananabananabananabanana pudding" I can't.
Where is everyone #2!!

I haven't been up through Lamar and Limon in a year and a half.... Is there construction on 287 somewheres? I thought for sure you would be going through that route from Amarillo.
