Apparently some 500 drivers have quit so far.
Are they firing the dispatchers from those terminals or just moving them over?tangerineGT Thanks this. -
I dk they don't tell us anything anymore.
500 quit dam !!!!!!! -
You can add me to that list next week! Im disgusted and as soon as I have a load heading home Im calling my DM and telling him that I found someone else to work for! -
I called this afternoon and the person watching my DMs fleet said I didnt show to be available and I needed to do mac 34. So finally got a #### 240 mile load that is due in NC on Sunday morning.
I also did a mac 8 so I can get home ASAP to clean out and turn in the truck.
500 people is about 25% of the entire Central fleet!tangerineGT Thanks this. -
I just finished a load and doubt I'll get dispatched before Monday. So it's laying around this tiny pilot in NJ until something comes in.
It's all screwed up. I got dispatched onto three loads the other day but my DM only sent me one. Someone removed me from the pre plan he wanted me to take and gave me another with a 500 mile deadhead. Then they had me dispatched under a totally different load in the system.
My dispatcher comes in and thinks I'm in NY when I'm just getting loaded in IL.
They gave me another fuel stop at the terminal in Ohio. They really do need some signs. There was another central truck and he was roaming around sort of lost trying to get out and then back into the fuel island.
I told one of the swift guys, who I guess his job was to watch the pumps or something, that it was odd for us and no one explains anything. He couldn't believe what we'd been dealing with.
Every one is just so lost.tangerineGT and Aimstraight Thank this. -
I got the full story from a planner in UTAH. Who I will not say who it is .
This whole problem is not because of Swift , let me clear that up .
our planners and DM's are being helped but they are as pissed as we are.
so basically swift is showing the how to use the system but they don't want to learn because thefts face they know their job is not gonna be there in a few months.
They have all been showed short cuts and different things about the new system some just don't care anymore and aren't paying attention. ...
So in a nutshell , most of these problems we are encountering are the fault of Central side . -
-
ive heard around 70 to 90. -
I'm not sure most of the problems came from the Central side. The communication has been extremely poor from all sides and there's probably plenty of blame to go around. And as far as the number of drivers that have left ... I don't think we'll ever get the real number. But whatever it is add one to the total.
I came off of hometime on Thurs. Same crap. No load, very slow responses to messages over the Qualcomm and voicemail. I sat in the terminal all day. So I started making phone calls. It was surprisingly easy to find a new company to drive for. I turned in my keys on Fri. I start paid orientation tomorrow and the starting CPM is a 20% raise. I'm sure this new company will have its own set of issues, there is no perfect job. But I can't imagine it being any worse.Lady K Thanks this.
