Since a lot of people here like to jump to conclusions and some can't read obviously. I stated that I'm 21. I've been unemployed for a year now, my previous employer closed up last feb. I went through driving school ON MY OWN DIME from April - June of last year, it cost me over $2500 which I paid in full up front, that was a large portion of my savings, after that I was pretty much living from unemployment check to unemployment check. I haven't been able to get a job anywhere since then, I live in the mountains in a small ### town where everybody is their own brother. To get a decent job around here you have to be best buddies with someone who works there, thus why I chose trucking to get away from this town. Hell even the fast food joints aren't hiring.

all these guys like to laugh at what i had to say, well here is the eye opener, i am the only one in the house that is working. i have a mortgage, a son , a wife ,and also electric, water, phone, internet, and satellite tv. i am making a little over minimum wage and paying all of this, so yea a man that has a regular job cant afford $500 up front, let alone someone whos been out of work for a year. its either pay $500 up front and risk them not hiring you and starving , or you feed your family. if you ever get as broke as me, then you will learn that $500 is a lot to gamble on. off topic a little bit sorry about that. man just listen to chinatown and he will lead you in the right direction. if you can find work and save up $500 to pay up front go for it. you are probably not in my position yet, but you better do it before you get to that point. i am married and have a child to support and once you are this way, your wallet will stay very thin but i wouldnt trade it for the world.

I understand the struggle I waited on my Taxes to get my savings up to a comfortable number before I enrolled, but if this is important to you like it is me, your going to have to sacrifice and take the chance. How much could one save by cutting out the TV or internet?Old - School Thanks this. -
I feel your pain and understand where you are coming from...I don't know what I'd do in your shoes...that's a hard spot to be in.
