Factory near where I used to live cut 25 jobs and hired for 10... They put in a new automated system and the 25 people weren't needed anymore. the 10 people were for packing and shipping as that department needed more people. ( They did hire 10 of the 25 back and retrained them) -
Try ray triple that figure, that's what a VAC truck should do in a day!

i'm gonna try to start writing down names of companies i see around the area with signs up hiring cdl drivers. might be helpful for you out of town guys so you can start researching companies and weighing your options. off the top of my head, both companies on either side of my yard have drivers wanted signs: JW Williams and ELFS. i'll keep a pen and notepad handy tomorrow when i'm on a run. this list could get quite long lol

Gentlemen not sure how applicable this will be considering my experience with the oilfield was in Pa in the Marcellus Shale play. Our area experienced the same boomtown atmosphere so being in trucking 20 plus years I decided this was my chance, I went got a job in the oilfield established some contacts
procured a contracted with the 3rd largest oil company in the world to remain unnamed. At that time I called a good friend of mine we partnered up we the bought our first two water trucks we were asked 5 months into our 3 year contract if we could provide 10 more we were in HEAVEN we were making DARN good money!! We called and started looking for more trucks had placed a order for 3 we were going to put them on 3 at a time. Before the order could be processed thank GOD because we were on a 3-6 month wait for the trucks our contract was canceled via a email. We never had a accident, spill, citation our conflict with any OSR's (Onsite representative) are safety personnel their response to our appeal was economic downturn appreciate your service hopefully we can do business in the future. Folks I'm not looking to rain on anyone's parade just be careful where we were operating is a ghost town now all those people up there who were putting money to open are expand stores building hotels gas stations etc. are starving know. Hope this helps I hope my experience was atypical with the oilfield but, I don't think so.Rodeorowdy, hardworkinman, Foxcover and 1 other person Thank this. -
