What a run so far this week! No blow out this time... Knock on plastic... But we looked at the weather and thought we would be SO smart...we would drop down off of 40 at Santa Rosa and hit 20 and run that across to ATL... You know, less ice... LOL!! Yeah, God laughed at us... That and TX has NO clue how to de-ice their roads!! I was working on my 14 towards the end of my shift, actual run time maybe 5 hrs and all of 70-80 miles!! Klingon's shift now, in LA and thankfully no ice!! So we will be 4-6 hrs late... Hoping they will still be able to take us!

Hope they can still take you and not delay you too much.
Thanks for your input on the super solo teams. It was really aimed at the retiring baby boomers who may not need a full time income. Must not have turned into a big thing, because otherwise we would have heard more about it.
Funny how every once in a while the driver shortage becomes a big deal and companies try all kinds of things. When we were hauling for Albertsons in Arizona, they allowed us to share a yard with Knight. They had a big mobile home that really was a home away from home. Nice living room, television, and washer and drier for us to use.
Its things like that I really appreciate, and I'm glad Central did it for us.
Does Team Klingon have anything like that? A favorite truckstop or restaurant that you look forward to going to? -
Lastkidpicked Thanks this.

Well they took us... But they were backed up as well, so we got out a couple hours later than usual... Then there was the rolled over truck in IL that had us sitting for a couple hours ... Not sure how long, I was sleeping. Slept well too, the truck wasn't bouncing LOL! Then we notice there are steel belts showing on one of the trailer's SS tires ... So another couple hours at a terminal to get it fixed ... So we are running 6-8 hrs behind our normal time frame... Still have time on the load, but won't have as much time at home... That makes a REALLY long week next week!!

Heard it was bad weather in parts of AR, MO. Hubby made it from Pauls Valley, OK to Joplin, then Springfield terminal Sunday.
This winter has been so bad -
Glad your hubby made it through safely!! I sure hope winter is almost over!!NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
Back at home, until tomorrow, LOL! ... We went the TX route again, no ice this time... Fuel prices are better (it seems like), so if we can get through DFW without getting turned around in circles, I think we might like that route
Got the side piece back from getting it painted, and Klingon got to put it all back together again. Also got a 3 axle alignment and a grease job... Oh and a 'disagreement' with the ones in charge of the logs... GRRR! Didn't hit the off duty THEN off duty drive... So it put us on duty for a full 6 minutes... So much for Klingon's 34... Thankfully we really don't NEED it because of the down time on each end of this run... But still! And they expect us to 'approve' this log that we feel is incorrect... But we HAVE to if we want to get our next load.
Well off to fix dinner in a REAL kitchen and watch Game of Thrones with friendsNavigatorWife Thanks this. -
