I like the Macks, ride smooth, pretty tightly built body. Pulls pretty good on hills (415hp I believe). I think they're comfortable. Of course all these are subjective.

Grandparents owned a successful Bar / Restaurants ( 3 locations ) for 44 years and thank goodness sold it off before the 2008/2009 financial crap happened.

Please don't take this the wrong way, Many friends introduced their homemade brews into my family business. Frankly, the consistency sucks and I didn't complain because it's FREE and helping out

The homebrew is awesome for home consumption. RR if i'm ever in your area. Home brew and questionable ladies :yes2557:

That pension is one of the only reasons I ever tried to get on with a union carrier. I got screwed out of it at Roadway, CF, and YRC. In fact, it seems like every time I get a union job something bad happens! 1997 Roadway closes my yard and I'm casual so I can't transfer, 1999 CF goes out of business, 2007 YRC lays me off. Soon enough I'm gonna go ruin it for Shaggy by getting hired at ABF lol!

@road_runner my friends there and I all started around 15-16 years old. I grew up I'm that place before as my moms the manager and the owner is like a father to me(or as of now big brother lol) when we were all 18-20 years old we would close up at 4am then I'd bring the Rock Band game in and we'd all hang out till 5-6am till the cleaning crew came in. We couldn't drink but we didn't care as it was a blast, especially with 10 of us (4 dude 6 girls... Enough said) the summer I'd bring my dad outdoor projection and audio and we'd play outside at the picnic tables till 8-9am... MAN those were the days, and we did this all the tie. Till we were about 22, the everyone started getting real jobs or engaged or moved away... Out of the 10 only 4 of us are still around. Those girls were hottttt and still are, to keep it clean I had some. "Good times" with a few of them.

@shaggy aka Doofy this bar/restaurant is a good mine, one of the most popular places in the county. Hey just extended the bar and even some of my drink recipes made the drink menu. I only share my recipes with my coworkers so we keep business as a lot of people kept asking for my drinks lol. I was good with being a mixologist. The local brews aka craft beers just came, used to only offer 4 but as popularity came they went to offering more.

@boy howdy I imagined the Mack's were good. Heard they have turned down companies who wanted to tune the trucks down because they didn't want them to look bad. I know Volvo got annoyed with it, my guess is why freighshakers are becoming more popular. Here at UPSF we got a bunch coming which are automatic and run on natural gas

@cool35 that's the only reason why I'm still here at UPSF. There's so much bs and pressure but at the same time I don't want to work till I'm a 100. Unless it's building cars and trucks which is my hobby and passion. I would go to ABF but the terminal al by me only hires city... Which isn't the end of the world for me but I know I won't like being I the city again. Only benefit is I have human hours and not vampire hours

ok enough hijacking. This is what happens when it's 630am and can't sleep. Cleaned my apt spotless and about to workout then head to grocery store... Then back to reality tonight

If i was outsider of TTR looking in, I would seriously question same person, you and I the IP addresses and registered Email.
You and I are creepy long lost brothers. I'm questioning my father this week if he pounded some poontang in NY. I have four older sisters( 1) sister with a cdl and 1 younger brother ( cdl) doing yard jockey for a GA company. both are doing Northeast crap.

If your father is 69 years old. My head will roll. My folks was never married and my siblings and I have mothers maiden name.

Lol I have no idea what any of that meant my creepy brother, but my parents are quite a bit younger than 69.

Urgh... not gonna lie. I feel like I am getting shafted. Saturdays I run a "bid". Go from Home Terminal to Terminal B, pick up freight... turn, then take my 10 hours off at my home terminal. After my 10, I take the freight I brought from terminal B and take it to Terminal C... then turn back home and start my weekend.

Last weekend I was notified that another driver from down south at Terminal D has a similar run... but he did not have any freight to take over to terminal c.... so instead of me making my final weekend push, he was getting my freight cause he has more seniority. I was like: Terminal D to my home terminal is 440 miles! Why doesn't he just lay over at my terminal and then push back home?

Answer: He wants the additional 170 miles by taking your freight to terminal C... lay over there, then get a 610 mile run when he goes home.

Complete bullcrap. I only ran three days last week.... now this dude is being greedy and stripping me of my run so he can get an additional 340 miles to tack on to his paycheck.

As much as I love working for my carrier, running 1050 miles for a whole week has me peeved enough to possibly going somewhere else. This dude ran more in two days by stealing my run, than I had in my whole week combined.

Sure you are getting shafted, but what is new? The guys with seniority will (and should) get the cream of the crop. Someday, YOU will be that guy with the seniority. That is, unless you keep moving from carrier to carrier.

I know it sucks. I know that it can really lead to your on the job moral start into a decline. So it really only leaves you two choices. Put it behind you and keep doing your job, or start looking for another. Well, actually there is a third choice, one you DO NOT want to make. (And I AM speaking from personal experience here.) And that is letting stuff like this fester and work on your mind. If you do this, your enjoyment of the job, and your job performance are going to suffer. Believe me, this is a route you do not want to take.

If you can't get past it, then by all means, look for another job.
