It's not that bad, but you need a plan for parking. After you've hit the 10th hour, it's certainly time to start thinking about it. Take for example hitting Tulsa off of I44 around 2300 Central. The truckstops will be full, although once you get past midnight, many of the night owls will start leaving... I've found nice spots around 0200 in the back of the J. But the point is, in areas that you know you'll have trouble finding a place, you don't want to pass up a rest area while you still have 45 or 50 minutes left to drive. That's a change from on paper when you hit 11, and THEN look for a place to park.

You can't trust that all of the rest areas are open, and some states will ticket you for parking on the exit from a closed rest area. The same goes with Walmarts... some of them are located in malls, and they don't own the land; those locations usually have 12' 4" gates to prevent you from parking a truck in the lot. So "knowing" the parking before you get into an area is gold if you need to run close to your 11.

Supply and demand... parking will become a commodity if the numbers of trucks on the highway hits anything close to some of the projections out there.

They CAN ........write you up. Just because they haven't, doesn't mean they can't. If they do, you will not be able to fight it! 395.8 look it up.

Nothing there about carbons. It states duplicates.

You can stop and photo copy the day each night.

After all, you can print the original when on the DDL.

So how hard is it to understand that a duplicate can be a photo copy, or printing of two copies of the log.

You quoted a section 395.8 stating he could be fined for not having the carbons is the way I took it.
