Up at 4 am. Beat the traffic over the GW and got to New Milford by 7 am. Easy drop and hook there at Kimberly Clark. Plenty of empties too.
Took off for my one hour drive across I84 to Newburgh NY. Arrived at everyone's favorite customer C&S to pick up a pallet load. Surprise, my load number does not exist! So now I sit while CS tries to figure out WTH! This was my last load for this pay period. We'll see...... -
Sent you a PM....
-
Well. Schneider called Chep who called C&S who came out to my truck and said ' Whoops, we made a boo boo and deleted that load. But the trailer is loaded just let me get your paperwork.' Half hour later I was outta there. Drove the 240 miles to the receiver and my live unload turned into a drop and hook!
All is good, carry on...... -
And the hits just keep on coming............
After the fun of the above adventures my ICA calls me and tells me my next load I was scheduled to pick up today at 1800 had been pushed back.........by a whole day!
So I jump on the load board and find a load close to me that delivers at 5:30 tmrw morning paying close to what the other load was. I tell my ICA to cancel the one and put the other one in. Of course they have to take every preassignment off of you to insert a load so that takes a bit of time. Then I hustle 95 miles to my drop and hook pickup of 12,000 lbs. Then drove another 45 miles toward my live unload tmrw morning over in Jersey. Got about 120 miles left to go. After that I go back to my favorite place, C&S, to grab another pallet load!
Since today is the last day of the pay week I thought I would put up some numbers for the people following this thread (the few that are!)
I worked six days this week, took one day for a 34.
I drove 3130 miles in those six days.
I brought in revenue of $5336.13, my best week so far!
This makes my average pay per mile to be at $1.70 for the week.
I spent $1955 in fuel. Still have half of a tank left.
My weekly payments to SFI are $1100.
So my check should be around $2281.13 on Friday.
I'll take it..............Stay safe everybody!Grijon, mxpx148, SherylReno and 7 others Thank this. -
That's great sadwar.....you really doing good....pray I can have the success you're having......with results like i would save and buy my own truck thru outside source to have much cheaper payment in which the bring home would be at 2k a week minimum
sadwar Thanks this. -
