Yes I put money down..premium trucks require a down payment of $2000.

I put down $5000..with $4000 going into the TRAC program(SFI will match it at the end of the lease).

Lease is for 2.5 years..I figured it was worth going to a longer lease for a good quality truck.,plus SNI put $2000 in my maintenance fun..I fought for it since it's ending at the end of April and they agreed.
Nothing wrong with Freightliners mind you(available for 1 year lease)..but a new evolution would've set me back more money.
And honestly tired of driving a FL..been doing that for the last 3 years or so..LOL!

Insurance wise I've been on my wife's for years,GREAT insurance..so I'm covered and don't have to deal with the Abamacare screw over.

Oh and sorry for hijacking your thread Sadwar!

I'll start my own when I get rolling and will keep everyone updated on running the Northeast(all tolls paid thank you schenider!!).

It's not about getting health insurance but the way there forcing every one to have insurance and the outrageous cost that goes with it. This is the United States I should have a choice not one forced upon us like this current administration is doing.

well, I do agree to a point. But when folks use the emergency room as a primary care doc then dont pay the bill, who do you think is paying then?

This is still so new. it will settle down as it goes along. hiccups with any new program.

Easy 530 miles today from PA to SC. 170 miles to go to Savannah for my D/H in the morning. This is the last load for this pay period, the load I pick up tmrw delivers on Tuesday, a mistake on my part. But hey, ##### happens, right?

Sometimes I've noticed that when I pick up a load before they close out on Monday, even if I deliver it on Tuesday it still appears on Monday's pay period. I think it depends on your ICA. Fingers crossed LOL.

Pretty sure you can select from any health plan, but it requires the company to provide certain things. Haven't looked into selecting off of their marketplaces yet, but your not required to buy only one plan. How bad is the company oo plans? Guess I'll find out here in a few days...

Def costs $2.79 a gallon in most places. I use about 10 gallons a week driving 2500-3000 miles. So ballpark it at $30 a week. I don't track it so that's my best guesstimate.

Oo plans that meet Obamacare cost the same as BCBS, anthem, etc. They offer discounted medical plans that do not meet Obamacare as well.
