ABF drivers have a sense of humor :biggrin_25525:

Chatted up a petite really cute redhead ( female ) the other day doing 30 minutes. She worked for MCT/WSE That OTR/regional reefer company. Drivers door to drivers door. Long story short, a manly person with boobs and deep voice appeared from bunker, It was her trainer. Chalked blocked by mentor:biggrin_2551:

OTR has some diamonds in rough.

If I had a nickel for every time an OTR driver called me a "fake trucker", I would have a sock full of nickels to beat them with.

Fake trucker? Never once been called that. Been called everything else in the dictionary and urban dictionary. Bucket list for 2014. try to get called fake trucker.

This probably isn't the same as being called fake trucker. Long story short fooled around with this brunette years ago. She accused me or not being employed by a trucking company, Because my hands were soft. This girl did not understand the concept of gloves and just previously using her fruity hand lotion washing soap crap in the bathroom

PS. I should have used that lotion for other purposes, she was batcrap crazy.

Bahaha... They never actually say fake... But they've said "that's not real trucking or you aren't a real trucker". It is usually some snotty 24 year old from one of the mega outfits that runs a cdl mill on the side. Most of them are still into their first phase of training.

As for gloves.... No way I leave home without them. Has nothing to do with keeping my hands soft... My immunization records are not up to date, and there is no way in hell I trust our equipment.

Lol yea I still keep I'm touch with this guy. We were on the same peddle route so we ran into a lot of customers. I used to love it when they say I'm not a real trucker and can't drive, and right in front of these OTR guys I'd get the 53 footer in one shot in a door( I did this customer quite a bit and knew all the tricks for this dock.) I will say a single screw tractor is a lot easier than a sleeper

Told this before, switched to USPF, Former co-workers from ABF was waiting for the door, Now it's vice versa again. it's hard to NOT make friends. Go in the customer and see whats going on and chat up the fella brother.

Long story short previous job, used the bosses son peterbilt day cab for end dump scrapping a few days, Wished i had anything other then this peterbilt day cab twin screw,Those dang dual extended exhaust stacks made the mirrors useless, So in the end been their done that.

Car guy here, No big rig is awesome to me. Peterbilt really is for OTR lol, no wonder those folks can't back crap

Peterbilt is best for OTR, construction, cartage (dumpster garbage) and even fuel. For LTL Volvo is just fine for me. Although a Peterbilt would be nice as a road truck for me lol

Fedex pkg. , UPS Parcel, myself and all other LTLers was called "Pizza Delivery Drivers" By an irrate Billy Big Rigger at a reg. customer cause he wasnt getting loaded fast enough. We all had a good laugh at him wearing his typical OTR gear, Grey sweatshirt and dirty grey sweatpants
