Running With Schneider!

Running my off! Today, delivered short loads down in Mira Loma and took one up to Delano.. Then ran over to Bakersfield CA and picked up load going to WA that will deliver on Monday. Knock 200 miles down on that load as well! All good paying loads, should do good this week for taken a day and half off.

 

Thanks Tenn! It's been a year and 2 months as IC for me, no complaints and doing good! Love it!

Not everyday is perfect of course there is always challenges as you know I'm sure.. But for this industry pretty happy I found this opportunity!

 

Thanks! 2 or 3 weeks, sometimes more and some less. If I stay in my freight lane I can stop by house couple nights a week.

 

Truck is almost up to snuff and running good. Still need to get my headers done at freightliner.

So far this week should gross about $4500 with only running 2600 miles and spent a night (18hrs) at home. Right now on my last run for this week with a light load 13000 LB heading to Washington.. Will see what I get out of there, last week got lucky with a $1900 load to phoenix out of WA. Not the norm for that area but ya never know!

 

Woke up this morning with cracked windshield about 3 inches long. Out of no where just for whatever reason it appeared. By the time I drove 10 miles down the road it grew from bottom to half way up the window with a cobra curve at top! Not liking the looks of that I stopped, spent hour and half on phone with our insurance trying to locate a place to get it fixed. No luck! best option get it done tomorrow in Portland. Then proceeded on down the road and was pulled over by OR state police. Uggghh! geezz man! What the.........!

Fortunately the officer (female) was nice. Said I was going a little fast?? Just wrote me up as a warning and safety check. She didn't notice the windshield, thank God! Bit of a delay but very grateful it turned out to be a good pull over. If there is such a thing.. Proceeded on down the road and got stuck in 1 hour delay traffic jam.. oh great! Now had to stop and do my 30 min break when originally I was going to just make it to my destination with in my 8. Only drove 430 miles today but seem like it took forever! Just one of those days out here on the big road!

Grabbed load out WA heading to Phoenix tomorrow..

Got my windshield fixed, picked up the load to Phoenix, helped another SNI driver get the landing gear to work on his trailer at the shipper and drove about 400 miles total for the day!

That windshield thing was really bugging me so glad that's fixed, life is good again..
