Now that looks tasty! I just bottled my first batch ever. The wife told me to get a hobby relevant to my interests but said no to a 6 ft. tall Swedish blonde, so...

Not all of us are retired like you mate. Most of the rest of the crowd will follow up next week.. or month. Whenever they get off the road.

That's OK, RR, just keep pluggin' away, and you two will someday enjoy the golden years. Of course with some of us, the gold is a much darker shade. . .:biggrin_2558:

I've never been called a fake trucker, not to my face anyway. I've been LTL for a long time probably as much as I was OTR. My OTR time was all dedicated and home every 5 or 10 days. Still, when I think of real truckers, I always think of the guys that say out 3+ weeks at a time driving a sleeper truck. It takes a special kind of person to do that job not to mention that's most of the trucking jobs anyway. I have respect for all truckers and we are all truck drivers but the way I was raised, the movies I watched and most of the trucks I see are all big sleeper trucks. Therefore, when I think of trucking or truck drivers, I always think about some irregular route guy who makes little money and stays out 3 weeks at a time. LTL feels like a 9 to 5 job to me and there isn't that feeling of freedom I had with OTR, not to mention that big ol Peterbilt I used to drive. I like my job but it sure is boring going up and down the same highway every night. I miss seeing the country and driving during the day.

Meh... me too. The old bat does have quite a bit of useful info for TTR. Keeps us on our toes. Give it some time when he hits the retirement home. His typing will be faster than the dial-up connection they have there :-D

Just wait until they replace the tennis balls on your walker. You will slow down eventually.
