why would they replace a Cascadia with KW or Pete?
I know how to fill out a paper log, I think, I was just taught 3 different ways to do the same thing. Central teaches me 1 thing, I do it at Schneider, the OSR's say "not exactly right" so they showed me their way, and Oakley never bothered to check mine, they did like how I was usually working on them, make 1 slight mistake and BOOM! fine! its very hard to screw up an electronic log. add in the fact I have experience with electronic logs so i'm doing something I know
I know how the recruiters act, my stepdad was an Army Recruiter for 6 years. I understand they (all salesmen) have a script they are reading off of that they can twist and turn using their knowlege to make it "prettier" the main difference, these trucking company recruiters are selling me a product people are semi-interested in, as opposed to military recruiters and car salesmen who are selling you something you don't care about. I hate to compare military recruiters to car salesmen but that seemed like a decent analogy (I was thinking of a Chevy tahoe, but the salesman convinced me the Ford Excursion was better) vs (I was thinking the Navy, but the Army seemed to fit me better) all three are trying to do the same job for 3 different reasons (to fill slots, because its their job, to feed their family)
again I am sorry for comparing a Military recruiter to a car salesman but it seemed appropriate, I am sorry if I offended anyone

why would they replace a Cascadia with a KW or Pete? wouldn't they replace a Cascadia with another Cascadia?

Not necessarily. Pete could come in and promise more than FL and the switch is on.
