Occasionally we get those paper rolls, The base is nailed to the trailer and often wondered if a hard jerk left or right would throw them outta the cradle. Being a former flat bedder that crap has me thinking that crap can pop out roll through the side of the van. we don't secure it other then nailing the base.![]()

He makes 150k because he is an owner operator and that is before expenses. I made that in 8 months being an owner operator at North American Van Lines. I had to move people and was on the road 6 weeks at a time but made some really good money! It was a high stress job though and I didn't get into trucking for stress! I did it because I'm lazy!Shaggy Thanks this. -

Oh well glad your still around to tell a funny story lol -
Clarify: more detail: Probably could of been hired by swift, england, jb hunt etc. I sabotaged the interviews over the phone. at the time was laid off about 10 days from another job and panicked. sent out apps to OTR's lol.
All seriousness, thanks ACH. don't remember which post, but got me thinking about a pension." dude is 10 years younger then me thinking about a pension WTF is wrong with me " lol
That's when ABF popped up on craigslist. The rest a good journey and still laughing worked a few months at USPF before you got hired ACH. weird crap.Last edited: Apr 27, 2014

Well, happy rant! This week I got about 2,400 miles in (I did work an extra day). Two pay checks ago I was shafted when an out of state company driver stole my freight. The last two weeks I got close to 5,000 miles to make up for it! I guess a bunch of our drivers quit and everyone is running double shifts. It is totally awesome! I am done with Ramen noodles! I am upgrading to hamburger helper! Hells to the yeah! I may get my trucker physique back after all!
@Shaggy sorry for ignoring your Facebook messages. Been too busy sleeping and driving (and sleeping while driving).Shaggy Thanks this. -
So I got this mate... He runs a sleeper.. but he is more regional/local. He does driving/drops throughout his area.
$16/hour. They pay him up to 13.5 hours/day (due to the new mandatory 30 minute nap) and he has full bennies. He works five days a week, but is camped in his sleeper only three nights. He gets PAID $50/night for the inconvenience of being away from home.
How many other carriers pay their employees to sleep in the back of their truck? $5/hour for your ten sounds like a reasonable start!Shaggy Thanks this. -
