    What's happening folks???
After spewing much venom about my experience with Western Express, I am posting nothing but PRAISE for my new employer, A. Duie Pyle.
Pyle has a wide range of driving styles in the freight industry. Local line haul, regional line haul, and my position as a local pick up and delivery driver.
From the get go my recruiter, Nate, gave me an HONEST overview of what to expect. Walking in the door I am making 21.50/hr, single healthcare plan at $20.00/wk, company match 401K, in addition to a private company pension, overtime after 45 hours, paid holidays and vacation. Because I was hired in March, I am eligible for one weeks vacation in 2014.
Orientation was 4 days long. I was paid .56 cents a mile for travel to and from West Chester, PA. I was paid $17.50 per day for food, I was paid my hourly rate for sitting in a conference room, in nice comfy chairs listening to the officers of the company talk about the history and expectations of Pyle trucking. I enjoyed going there everyday. Everyone I came in contact with greeted me with a "good morning," a "how you doin?," or a smile. From the mechanics to the owners. Who, by the way, park in the same lot, some distance away from the offices, as the rank and file workers. The positive attitude and empathy of the staff is contagious and a welcomed change from the normal trucking company hum-drum, Eeyore, woe is me attitude.
Pick up and delivery is fast paced and busy. The equipment is top notch. Any defects are corrected before I leave the gate.
Looking forward to ending my trucking career with this company.... BRAVO A. DUIE PYLE!!!!!

MACK E-6, 28, bmovers and 2 others Thank this.

    Hey Bumper,
Non-union... Teamsters almost closed em down in 1978. Rank and file decertified to save their jobs and company. Smart move

I never heard of this company before. $21.50 an hour with overtime after 45 is really good. Where are they based out of?

Based out of West Chester PA. Several northeast region terminals. Spotless..... And growing.. Partnered with Southeast Freight for their region. Heard this morning that the RI terminal is one year injury free. Everyone gets a jacket. Only been here 3 weeks. I get one. Awesome gesture

I've never heard a bad thing about them. I used to talk to a lot of their drivers when I still lived in MA, they all seemed happy.

21.50 an hour in the northeast.
You can barley keep a roof over your head.
