we we never got that 300 mile thing.... Always said our paid deadhead mileage was too much...
even when we got dead headed 180 miles for a 24 mile load.

Well I had a few extra minutes today so I checked on this .
and well I got paid more for less miles . $0.44 for a run under 150 I think it said , with central the only way you could get that sliding scale pay was for live load and unload

Just a few job hunting facts.....GOOD driving jobs Dont.....

1.Use DAC or any kind of warrantless screening process from ex-employers
2.Have Speed or brake measurement devices in a truck to determine driver habits
3.mandate an electronic logging device to their standard
4.make drivers watch child-like tutorials and Punish them like a child when they make a mistake
5.Terminate you or question you beyond a reasonable manner if involved in an accident (At Fault or not) IT HAPPENS... Tomorrow is another day
6.With-hold earnings of any proportion, (Too many novice individuals sign contracts stipulating they are responsible for certain actions and monies being with-held) It is a Federal Law that an employer cannot with-hold any earnings from an employee for any reason
7.Single you out as a "possible" asset,(What that means is, Like the old saying goes, You only hear about the bad you do,Never the Good) Which seems to be the norm with Bad trucking co's
8.Tease you with logical benefits,Then when it comes time for a driver to enjoy those benefits......Management Reduces or eliminates such benefit on the assumption the Driver will quit or just not say anything
9.Test a drivers Willpower on a Fair and reasonable job descrpition....(These bad Co's will push a driver over the edge without any recourse or iminent feeling of guilt)

just a few facts that determine the good from the bad.......A smart person can 'feel' the difference, and make a decision before even accepting a job offer

They might they are a training company that will lose 80% of those drivers during the next 2 years.

Don't forget, most new drivers wash out for one reason or another.

Just be happy you are not governed at the minimum speed.

Maybe I should put that in the suggestion box, to save the company a ton of fuel.
With the GPS on the QC it should be relatively easy to program the computer to limit speeds to the minimum or actual, whichever is the lesser.

The way I figure it, if I am not content with being governed at 62 I can always find somewhere to work that lets me go faster.
So griping about it would only show that I am more of a complainer than a doer.

I'm sure it could be argued that the minimum is the safest, best practice...just like going at half speed in turns.
