So, what is a 'single safe speed' for you?

I'll grant that certain drivers can be safer at higher speeds than other drivers.
But that disallows any 'single safe speed' notion.

    LMAO!!!
What do slow trucks have to do with welfare babies?
You infer that the one has to do with the other.

It seems that as the trucking companies pump out more drivers people on welfare will pump out more babies to supply the trucking companies, thus increasing the number of slow trucks that cause accidents because they are going slower?

Your train of though is the scary thing.

Here is a little food for thought , I have one of those "on guard" systems .
ok , the other day a swift truck came flying past me , well when he got in front of me . The screen said he was going 73 mph , and that system works radar..

Oh , and I didnt see any brake lights either , not to mention he was gone out of range in a few seconds.

Ok let me say this a little slower .....hahahahahaha
if swift keeps pumping more people out of their schools(ya with me so far) , then people on welfare pump out babies...

It was kinda like comparing to things , that have about the same out come on society

I edited my post, but the result seems the same.

And you were not comparing TWO things that have (even about) the same OUTCOME on society.

My safe speed would be the speed limit , that dam near every state has set ,
I was somewhere the other day and the speed limit was 80 ( now I don't need to go that fast)
but ill tell ya every one else around me was going 85 or 90, and I was just waiting for someone to come up on me and smear that icc bumper... lol. Maybe I should have had my flashers on. :biggrin_25525:

Me too, I'm sure, in my younger days. If I had been a trucker back then.
I'm not so quick anymore, so I'm happy with a bit slower speed.

Still, given the inertia factor, I don't think big rigs are as safe as 4-wheelies at any given speed.
We just can't move and stop on a dime like they can.

And if someone rear ends me, it is on them.
Not me for going a bit slower.
