Hi everybody! After my fiasco with my last flatbed employer i came home and applied for a job hauling coal and got hired on the spot! Its been almost a month now and quite the adventure. Wow. Ive met so many nice people and have been learning offroad driving and its so awesome to get out of a truck at the end of the day! So far...so good.

That's great! Glad to hear it's working out for you. What type of trailers are you pulling, side dumps or end dumps? Got any pics to post up here?

No pics. Were not allowed. Sorry. Wish we could though! Its been such an adventure. Let me tell you. Ice road truckers got NOTHING on this job! This is EXTREME OFFROAD TRUCKING. I was so scared to try but i pur my big girl panties on...and im doing it! Ive climbed crazy dirt or mud roads...descended with 40 tons of coal...and the trucks take a severe daily beating. You brake check about 12 times a day at least...and the company i work for has road crews out patching up stuff 24-7. This is a crazy awesome job with a bunch of crazy awesome people and it takes everybody working together as a team all day long to keep us all safe and im grateful to be a part of it and have this experience. Ive never ever done any offroad driving before so i didnt even know if i could...but im getting the hang of it and its going well and i like it. Except for the dust. Coal dust and dry dirt from the roads blowing around is a lung killer. Thats the down side. But gerting paid really good money to go fourwheeling in a tractor trailer every day? Thats pretty awesome and i pretty much think thats how everybody feels that works here and the positive team attitude just makes for happy workers. Ive never experienced anything like this. Happy people working together like a team and having fun making good money?? Im grateful.

Looks like an interesting job. No shortage of excitement. Are you driving for a company or an independent contractor?
