showers?

Shower shoes ain't just for athletes foot. People do other things in them showers that I don't want to get even a little bit of on me

 

Besides truck stops (and oriental spas for Chinatown) do any of you shower elsewhere? Are there additional options? Maybe health clubs along the interstate etc.

I know a couple drivers that have memberships to 24 hour fitness and will bobtail or are crazy enough to take the whole rig to workout and shower there.

Google is your friend. Most gyms will have a day rate, usually $5 to $10, I paid that a few times to get a workout and shower when I was getting a 34 hour reset.

 

Get rewards cards at the major truckstops and use them everytime you fuel and the shower is free and private. Otherwise I think they are charging around $12.00 for one now if you don't have a free shower on your rewards card. Until you have a rewards card, show your fuel receipt to get a shower (which you can get your rewards card at the truckstop when you apply).

I have a membership at Lifetime fitness and I use their facilities .

 

i had a girlfriend in Clearfield PA for a couple years. I'd call her when I was rolling thru and she'd come pick me up at the Sapp Bros and let me use her shower and cook me a meal, among other things. Then one day she started talking about marriage and I've made myself scarce ever since.

There is a small truck stop near Laurens SC, it is not 24/7 and does not have showers, however they also own the small motel next door and will let you have a room for a shower for $15. Pricy but my company reimburses.
