    Right...
I wonder how they could ever enforce it.

Many of Swift's policies come out of a dream world of children and fairies and good feelings.

I feel for ya on the 12 hours off thing. Having the dog on board, 10 hours goes by really quick. At a minimum I have to walk her about 20 minutes after shutting down, about 20 more minutes in the middle of the break and 20 more minutes before we gear up to leave. That leaves 9 hours to get a shower, get a meal, watch a little TV, surf the net and get enough rest to run the next shift. If it is hot I have to allot time to set up the redneck APU/A/C unit and time to break it down before leaving so sometimes a shower gets postponed about every other day for the sake of getting enough sleep for me.

What I remember in orientation was that we were encouraged to take showers "as often as necessary", more than once a day if we had "issues". I don't remember any hard and fast rule about how often we had to take showers. The bottom line point in that part of the presentation is that we were to present ourselves to our customers in a clean and professional manner, leaving no lasting odiferous impressions.

The next time you are scheduled to go to the terminal where your dispatcher is located, don't shower for 7 days. Then go in and give your dispatcher a hug. Then say this while happen often until you allow me to get shower credits.

Please note that you are being told to shower every day. That does not mean Swift has to pay for it in some way.

I'm not sure where you get the idea we are "being told to shower every day". Who told us exactly?

Swift, nor any other trucking company, pays for showers or other personal expenses. Showers are gained by shower credits when you fuel.

Actually they are paying for it because they pay for the fuel that you pumped to earn that shower. In fact they paid $200 for that $10 shower.
