Hwy 10 in Wisconsin from Steven Point to Marshfield is not mapped correctly. There has been new construcion there is recent years. If I don't have a destinaton, it just has me driving thru fields and trees. IF I do have destination, it goes crazy trying to get me onto a road that is not there.

When entering the destination City>Street>House Number.

I really like the order that it goes in, but can I ask how many truckers have made delivers to houses. This tells me that it really is not a truckers GPS.

Many of the same screens are used on other models such as the RV model. To keep the code somewhat straight they use a general term.

So, how many car GPS's ask for weight, height, length, HazMat?

    Thanks,
    Mark

There is an issue going from Palmdale Ca to I-5. My 520 shows to take Ca 138 all the way to I-5. I think it shows it to be 42 miles. About the halfway point the Rand shows a soft right hand curve. Right where it shows that soft right is where highway 18 intersects 138. I always turn left on 18, it is a hard left with an immediate right. Once I do this my GPS never recalculates. I'm guessing it wants me to do what I did, it just doesn't show it. I would also venture a guess that if I stayed on 138 past 18 it would recalculate. What I don't know is if it would want me to turn around and take 18 or just have me run farther south to get to I-5.

    Mark Kling Thanks this.

    Mr Mark Kling,
I have a Rand McNally 710 that was really only lightly used before I quit driving commercially but would like to use it as I purchased the lifetime maps and updates. My 710 is unresponsive except for a delayed Windows CE with a red bar. I have tried all that I know how to do. The unit shows connected to the Dock, and I have tried all the updates, backups and diagnostics and repairs that I know how to do... HELP!? I would greatly appreciate your help in this matter. My other email is: austindollar22@gmail.com if you should need to reach me there..

I've found Manual recalc to be the best option here. Just ignore it until you get back on your original route and it will pick up where you left off.
