Thats right eliminating human reaction time would reduce following distance to Virtually zero because both trucks are applying their brakes at the virtually the same time it becomes the same as train cars the truck following will stop and still be 30 feet away from the lead truck given that the lead truck stops at an appropriate stopping distance, which the system seems to be able to detect and apply brakes eliminating human error in that situation as well, its not eliminating truckers its a tool that Saves on Fuel, the trucker is still needed to steer and Break when they get off the highway or go make their delivery, and it will probably bring back the CB, and it requires Input from the trucker because you wouldnt want to be fully loaded 80,000lbs following a guy with 5,000lbs in the box

If you go by what all the books say a fully loaded truck gets better traction and therefore stops faster than an unloaded truck. Anyone care to put that to the test?
