    i guess my question would be do you have a jacob brake or a exhaust brake. if you have a exhaust brake you have to keep the rpms up to get it too work right. or if you have a 3 stage jacob brake the 3 way switch could be bad. lots of luck

    Well, I just found this jake brake owners Manuel. That's who makes it Jacobs Jake Brake. I guess that's the brand. Yes it is a three switch stage and has a off and on switch. After reading the owners Manuel with the truck having 281k not sure about hours but it's basically due for a major maintence pm. With lots of replacements and or inspections and replacement options. Here's the picture of the owners Manuel.
    This truck would fall under category 2 and that's a lot of Replacements needed.
    I- Inspect and Replace as Required A- Adjust R- Replace

    Sorry, specifics would have been much better on your part. However, your statement does lead someone to believe your experience is limited no matter what school you went to. I'll try to do better next time.
