does blowing out two tires and bending rim go on dac?

What they are all telling you is true. DAC is a function of a company called HireRight. They are a company that the insurance companies came up with as a way around the 4th amendment to the Constitution.

Companies do not have a legal right to say things that are on DAC reports so they use a third party to do so. If your company wants to sc r ew you over they can tell DAC that you hit a stationary object and destroyed two wheels and tires on your trailer. You were then terminated and are not eligible to be rehired. This will keep you from being hired anywhere else that uses DAC. So, the company can then hire someone new for less money then your experience would demand.

It is my belief that someday soon we as drivers are going to regret the fact that we do not act as one group and demand that companies stop practices that keep our wages down.

But that is just the Radical Conservative in me.

 

Bigger question is are you still employed. That looks like over or close to a Thousand dollars worth of damage, because you thought the post was going to jump out your way because you had your blinker on.

 

Always keep in mind that there are other reporting agencies...not just HireRight.

 

offer to have them take a little money from your next few checks to keep it off whatever if you are concerned. the direct approach works wonders when in doubt.regardless,it could eliminate some of the anxiety that you may be experiencing. sometimes,sheeeeit just happens so no need to lose sleep.

i think that you will be just fine,especially if you are doing them a good job.also,depending on the rim damage and the tire man,most steel rims can be beat/hammered back into shape and will hold air and will not cause shimmy. i didn't see the picture if you posted one but i have just knocked the air out of a trl tire due to the steel rim getting bent. we beat the rim back into shape on the side of the road and saved the price of a new rim.

It should be considered an incident which usually doesn't go on DAC. If it did hit DAC as an accident you could dispute it and throw the FMCSA definition of an accident in their face. Then hopefully it would get removed.
