Some kind of engine fault. Shop said it was oil pressure sensor. A guy came and replaced it, as soon as he left, it did it again. Not a fun morning so far.

I guess a little venting on my part right about now will show that every so often Abilene can and does irritate the poop out of me. Right now I'm sitting in a service plaza on the NJTPK waiting for someone, anyone, even the 3 cleaning ladies, to make a grown up decision and tell me what I'm doing next. Someone needs to put their big boy panties on and dispatch me. Either a deadhead move back to Richmond or a load assignment.

I was delayed last night at Sabra and never left until 10am this morning. I only had a 10am delivery appt. in South Plainfield NJ. I was told they would unload me as soon as I got there. I got on 95 at 10:15 and bumped the dock in Jersey at 3:30. I was empty at 4:30 and decided to drive here, actually, it's really the only place close by. I sent in my empty call at 4:30 and then another message an hour ago. This is really my only gripe here, sometimes there's a lack of communication coming from Richmond. I did have enough time to get back to richmond tonight, not now though.

Its good to know that even Abilene isn't perfect, JB. God only knows what awaits me. Still, its the benchmark I will use to compare, even though I'm not there anymore. God bless you Abileenees. Whose got it better than you? NOBODY!!

Sorry to here a about that JB. That's one of my big complaints about going to Hall's. It's like a black hole, you can't get out. It's not like they don't know where you are going.

That's with everywhere we go. It's not like they don't know they sent us there, so why do they wait to preplan us? It is frustrating. We could plan our days better and be less stressed. JB, I can't believe they haven't given you any direction. I don't usually have any issues getting out of there, but then again, I call my fm as soon as I hit the dock with the what's next question. Unless I just want to kill some time, which is hardly ever!

RC I have yet to have an issue, so it can't be everywhere, however it does sound like somebody dropped the ball today.

I don't have it anymore. Not since I got an fm that will actually do their job. I might wait 30 minutes. I'm just saying that it would be nice to be preplanned better. The fms can only do so much to that end. It's the planners that need to get on the ball. Or off the pot, or whatever saying you prefer! LOL

Well I see where u are coming from about being preplanned better. Yes it would make life easier for u all as a driver but what if something came up and u could not make it on time. What if they preplanned u and then took that load off of you bc another driver needed it to get home or whatever. How would u feel then if it was a good mile load and u already made plans to stop and see a family member bc u known that u would have that extra time?

Most of us know not to count on anything like that. We roll with the flow. I personally don't make plans. Usually doesn't work out. I'm a fly with the wind type person. It works for me. Juast like the load I'm currently on. Orr had 1 stop very close to the place I wanted to go, but got an extra stop added, so instead of getting to do what I needed before delivering, I will do it after I get both stops off. We go to a lot of the same places, so the planners should know if it's going to take 30 minutes or 3 hours to get unloaded. We certainly remember that information. Each planners handles a specific area, so they should too. Yes, sometimes stuff happens, but if it's a regular customer, it's the exception, not the rule.
