You for sure won't have one if your Bulk either. Bulk can just idle all they want. But they don't have the 14 and 7 off thing either. Still trying to figure out how you make money doing that.....
Roehl or Schneider

Thanks for the reply's guys. In a previous post it was mentioned that Roehl specializes in flatbed, and Schneider in tanker-division. What would the benefit be in hauling specialized loads other then dry-van? Is it just for a challenge or is the pay more? My school start date is still a week away so i'm not yet knowledgeable in these areas.
I'm mostly doing the 14-7 program just to get experience to eventually get a LTL or local gig after I feel confident driving OTR. I'm single, with no debt, and a room-mate so I dont have financial obligations to make "big money". Also my gf has an issue with the 3weeks-2months out normally so i'm compromising to do trucking and get away from retail. -

Look around. Keep and learn from the job you GET, while seeking the job you WANT!!! -
I decided to go with Schneider South East Regional since they told me it's 5 days out 2 days home. Would make more then the 14/7 from Roehl. Question is they told me some have APU's but most have sensors to determine if I can run the truck for ac or not.
How hot does it get in these trucks and is their a work around like starting for an hour then when it shuts off start it again?
I have a hard time sleeping in the heat. Keep my house set to an arctic temperature at night.
Only thing keeping me back from signing on fully.Jaystew Thanks this. -
You can idle above 70 degrees or below 20

Ambient air temperature sensor. Typically located in the mirror housing on the LH mirror.
