I posted this photo because a local k&b driver did this a few days ago.Hes been with the company a few yrs and people couldn't believe him of all ppl stopped .So far the total of this wreck is 400k.KB calls drivers like this highway heros.Anyway there is 2 stop signs there, one for the trks and one for the cars. This driver was suppose to stop at the first one then go thru the second one when safe to do so.That piticular track is 60 mph.Cost so far 50 k to union pacific for being down 6 hrs

My boyfriend works there and kb posts everything on the QUALCOMM including the cost. But I bet when all said and done its going to be well over 400k.This driver has been having marital issues and some think that's why he stopped on the tracks not paying attention.KB ofcourse drove there in the shuttle van with a drug test and once he got back to th yard he was fired immediately.I know this local driver,I was just as surprised as everyone else.

Driver was on his way back to Tyson in Dakota City with a load of swinging meat.I guess that entire load had to be tossed.Once it hits the pavement it can't even be used for dog food according to USDA.

He should of known better if he was a local driver. I've ran parallel to that mainline on 30 plenty of times. It's very very busy. It's probably one of the busiest rail lines in the country

Yep,those are very active tracks. Its wasn't too often when I picked up meat there I didn't have to stop and wait for a train.Theres a gravel road on the other side of that train we can also take to avoid the train.

Thanks patty, nice going, yutz. Someone should remind them there is 53' behind the cab. YouTube has a ton of these, get yourself a bag of popcorn and tune in. I've seen school buses that stop on the tracks, and thank heavens a train wasn't coming, but once in a while, you hear about it. I guess, if there's any defense for this driver, at crossings, it's hard to judge how fast a train is moving. Many years ago, I came up on a crossing without gates, the lights went on, I saw the train way down there, so I went for it(I know, highly illegal, but I was young and stupid). Turns out it was just an engine and a caboose with the hammer down, I barely made it.
