I finally got out of the glass plant. 7 hours...and it was so backed up in the lot I couldn't sit off to the side to finish an 8 hr to split log. So I made it to the AL/GA border and went to bed. It leaves me a 2 hour window for error on this load, and according to backhaul, I will be pulling a load out of that area (or so they hope). I am wanting to be home mid-week next week so I can stand in the rain of the potential tropical system that is brewing, and finish getting the exterior of my addition completed.

Are you speaking of the glass plant over near the Atlanta airport ?
I used to pickup beer bottles going to the brewery there.
The waits were very long so they let us sleep right there amongst the giant piles of crushed glass

Nah...that plant is Hapeville...been there too with Arnold. Spent many days waiting on that place...one of the first places I use to refer to as "a total waste of parking"

The Warner Robins plant is across the street from the Air Force museum and Warner Robins AFB.

Got the authorization to roll back to GP from Tulsa. Will be there Thursday evening ready to roll towards home as of Friday. Since my Houston visit last week where I got soaked and then walked into my icebox of a motel room...I have been dealing with one of the few colds I get. Couple that with me running as hard as I have been this week...and I am ready for home. It has only been a month, but I am ready.

1-800-enterprise...I'd rent a cheap car and leave town...then show up to fly.

    LAX...as in LA, Cali?

Yes , right at the end of the runway

I was thinking about driving all the way to Texas , it would be much much cheaper .

To get info out of Poly is close to impossible

Another dept handles the travel arrangments

After midweek motels are over 120 a night here in the land of Oz

The check in lady had sympathy on my and dropped the rate to 95 a night .

Oh well , one more reason to stay out of L.A.

well after reading some posts on here about multiple stop pick ups i been lucky to avoid them, untill now, 4 stop pick up 1 in mass,2 in nj and one in pa then del in dallas. after looking it all up doesnt look as bad as i first thought, been to 3 of the 4 towns and doesnt look too bad in goog maps, i live in northeast but im always glad when i get outta here, good to kno when i get back i can choose somewhere else to go, i will say the only 2 times ive waited for a backhaul after i was empty have been after del in hookset, nh , must not b a good area for bhauls

Any chance you can fly in earlier? You can stay in some really nice Hotels close to the yard for half that price. Even the orientation hotel is half that price with our Poly discount. It's $65 a night with free shuttle service to many places.
