Or am I missing a better option. I have 6 months OTR experience with no endorsements, or passport - willing to get all.

I live between Orlando and Miami, FL on the Treasure Coast. Interested in taking a majority of my hometime in Atlanta, GA.

I was looking at JB Hunt and US Xpress also.

    Thanks guys!!!

It would be great to see you at Conway. Check the no hire zone in southern Florida with the recruiting dept. I hired on before the zone was established, that's why I am with them even though I am too far south.

Looks like Tyson Foods doesn't hire in Florida, but do hire in Atlanta and North Georgia. They do have a facility in Jacksonville though. Excellent pay scale for solo drivers and hire new CDL grads. Terminals all over the place; San Diego,CA - Pasco, WA and scattered all the way back to the Atlantic Ocean.

Hi Mev, got that right. Remember the thread "Let go for a blown tire"? The jury is still out on that one.

What's their idle policy ? Guy on here said Knight had on their packing list for orientation a fan.....to keep cool in the truck since they dont allow you to idle.

I say go with Con-Way Truckload. (There's a lot of Conway Freight, but I don't want to drive LTL, and I think they're hard to get jobs) I drove Con-Way Truckload for 3 months company jockey, and a year IC. I've been comfortable with them. Pay is good, no BS about it, on time every time. Also, my first full year as an IC with them, I'll be at exactly 140,000 miles and I go home 5-7 days/month. In other words, plenty of dispatched miles.
