If you are fired for organizing an UNION your contract is null and void. They can do nothing. If a credit bureau lowers your rating because of it, all you have to do is file a dispute.
We as truckers should have had enough by now. I think it is time to start fighting back. We need to park the truck for a week.

You've already done your homework so if you don't mind living from paycheck to paycheck for a long while then I say go for it.The first few months is the hardest and that will determine if you're cut out for this profession.So what is it about trucking that makes you wanna join the industry?If you decide to go the company sponsored training route,choose your company wisely and don't let some recruiter talk u into anything unless you are 100% sure you wanna drive for that company.You asking other drivers on here is a great first step.There are some real bad first companies,you don't wanna drive for them because chances are you won't last a yr.Thats why its important to shop around before you take that giant leap.

Parking the truck is TOO HUGE of a risk for many of the truck drivers that would need to be involved in such an undertaking. Potentially, a lot of these truck drivers could end up being unemployable for undertaking such a risk.

While it is true that I have made my millions, I have Not lost touch with reality. The service industry recently started targeting McDonald's wanting $15 per hour. They are serious. I think they are nuts.
Let me give you a little reality. A dollar today buys what 75 cents bought in 2005. Yet the rate of pay to a new driver is less then it was in 2005. Congress has voted itself raises from $154,000 to $170,000. Fuel in 2005 was $2.00 now it is $4.00. Milk was $1.89 now it is $4.09. Your wages have not only not kept up they have gone down.
You have a family to support? How long can you if you cannot keep up with the increase in milk prices. I am starting my own trucking business. My business model points to paying the driver $75,000 plus benefits. I actually did the numbers at $100,000. They work out just fine.
If you are happy making what you are making it isn't my place to worry about it. I am a conservative and a proud member of the 1%. I just believe that you are selling yourselves short. Trucking is a skill. Not everyone can do what you all do. I know. It took me longer then the average bear to learn the Profession.
Finally, inflation is coming. The only way to pay off a $17.4 trillion debt is to print more money. The debt is based on 20 year treasury notes. Those start coming due in 4 years. Prices will have to rise by 500%. Dogs and Cats sleeping together. I am talking real doom and gloom. Forgive me for suggesting it is time to ask for a raise.OPUS 7 Thanks this. -
