We are currently on our first official load under our own authority!! Woo Hoo! On Thursday we delayed too long to call CHR and found out they keep bankers hours, not truckers hours... So for kicks and giggles we posted our truck available for the next morning... 0630 we get a call... Klingon didn't even haggle the price it was so much over what we had been running for! He probably could have gotten more, but hey, we were looking at it as a learning/shake down load, so all is good. It has two picks (Bay Area... Yeah, traffic wasn't fun) and one drop (Auburn, WA) so all total about 980 miles... We forgot about a couple things we 'should' have added, such as how much detention was going to be (since we are delivering to a DC)... But we will know better next time.
Why do our pictures always turn out upside down!! ARG! Anyway... CA/OR border... We haven't seen this out of our office window in a while!Attached Files:

Klingons, good to see an update. Hope all goes well on this 1st load. About the pics...try taking them standing on your head. That should fix it.
Lady K Thanks this. -
This was our view this morning as we got unloaded... First load completed on-time with no problemsSO not use to sitting though, and I don't think we want to do much of it... But again we are sitting... Sigh!
Posted our truck on three different boards... Nothing... Called on several loads, but we aren't taking loads for $1.25/mile! So we are heading south empty... But there is a glimmer of hope... A FB page we are on, someone there gave us a name of a broker... He's 'looking' so we are to 'hang tight'... So we are hanging out at a rest area near the WA/OR border...
We weren't planning on heading back out until after the 4th, but wanted to get home by the 4th... So if no load tomorrow we head home... If a load tomorrow we will get paid to head home
Yep there is is a learning curve to this!
