Is ridiculous, my mentor was a terrible driver his backing was poor at best he messed with my hours of service I reported his cleanliness his Dot violations to swift are DM and manager in Richmond told me "Don't you know what happens on the truck stays on the truck." I had over 120 on duty driving hours but only 2 on duty not driving hours like that's not suspect.
I quit after nothing was done going to be done going with roehl soon.
swift... well it's mentoring system.

Roehl has way better training, but company wise not much better in my opinion I made very little money in my 7 months of being there. I'm sure it's a little better than swift, do plenty of research on any company before you make the move. That will help you a lot

Then they wonder why so many laws in place and think they don't deserve all the laws.Companies like Swift more about the mighty dollar then training the student.Safety and logs are a joke.Only ppl they listen to is ppl higher up with in the company walls, not the drivers.
-
Yeah ANY company wanting a driver to be a trainer after only 6 months exp is just pitifully sad. I was mad when I found out my trainer at Roehl had only 10 months. That's just the way it is with these mega company's that is like a revolving door

Exactly I want to make money provide for my family get experience then go local.

Where do you live? And are you going to Roehl forsure?

In Virginia Newport News, I like what they have to offer nothing definite

I just got on with swift as a newbie driver. I luckily got a good mentor and learned a lot. However, I did NOT get the 75 backs that I was scheduled to get... I got less than 10 backs..! and I'm now on the road with a truck..! My backing is average to say the least.. it may not be pretty but I can get the jarb done.
