Driver I wish more drivers had your paradigm of thought......especially the renegades who love doing 80 and tailgate...pisses me off so bad

I used to be a hothead like that. Until that wreck. That put everything in perspective for me.

That's just Plum Dumb. As a professional driver you should never drive over the posted speed limit. I've heard make the same argument against driving 55. Every since '08 when the price of fuel shot up I drive 55 when ever I have enough time to do so. I've not even had one close call. Sure I've had a lots of driver to cuss me on the CB. I now turn it off most of the time. I like getting 9 MPG. Why hurry up to get to some place were you are going to be setting around waiting? Driving slower has the added befit of being a whole lots less stressful. Wise up and start driving like a Professional Driver. There are far to many bad 18 wheeler drivers that think they need to follow the crowd instead of following the LAW.

See...this is problem...it's kind of drivers like you that need to be removed from this business...what you're saying is that you're one of those cdl holder las who tailgate and drive like a madman around anyone and everyone...good luck in trying to keep your cdl much less your career...ever all law of averages will catch up and you'll be gone..

Big word. I amit, I had to look that one up
sycophant: someone who kisses ### to get ahead in life, often claiming positions above hardworking people.
I don't see were it applies here. I think you must had miss used it.
But does anyone here think WalMart will stand behind this driver?
They will throw him under the bus, sorry, might be a bad choice of words for this case.
WalMarts defence will be this driver was not following company polices.
The drivers defense will be, Well every body else was doing it.
He will most likely lose everything he has and maybe even his freedom
Is it worth doing it because everyone else is?
You get hit from behind it's the other guys fault.
We driver should be setting the example. then no one can say every one else is doing. We're not!

Unsupported "ad hominem" is not argument, it is a personal attack on the poster.

Since even a little thing like complying with traffic code is not among yours, would you bless us with your idea of "professional standards"... beyond the obvious "Nobody's gonna be the boss of me"....?

and just to answer your question

no one is the boss of me, i couldnt stomach other folks getting the lions share of my work, so i rid myself of any bosses

professional is getting the job done, safely, on time

drive when i am rested, sleep when i am tired

    you gotta problem with that?

you said it was crazy for a driver to keep up with the flow of traffic, in other words,, your concept of safety is being an impediment to the flow of traffic

i dont buy that for one minute

I think he might of meant not running in the pack...could be wrong. I was taught that traffic resembles a pearl necklace...and as a semi driver you want to be the string not the pearl.

One has to realize that they can't run the way they want to all day because that is how they want it and everyone should be like them.
