How long do you think it takes to fuel? I can tell you. 9 minutes. That's it. 9 minutes. From the time you pull the brakes, put your info in to hanging up the nozzle, 9 minutes.

This is a great example of my point of "adjustments" having to be made by driver AND office policy, we went to all paperless preapproved fueling at all of our fuel stops, so we are literally stopped, fueled, and gone. Don't have to go inside, don't have to wait in line, don't have to get check approval, I am assuming Joe's about the same way.

Actually with 38 years out here. I've been connected to trucking my entire life and started working in trucking in 1990 at 14 years old.

Actually Joe, it would be 28 years since 1990, but who cares as long as you're enjoying what you do? Fuel can take as little as 3 minutes, if a place isn't busy, and I fuel and go, to as long as it takes if the computers have a glitch, and I put in fuel and can't leave till they let me, and that can happen. I log 15minutes or longer if it is longer. Reduces my on duty driving logged if it goes really quickly.

Same here, raised on a dairy farm, driving truck (straight) since about 9/10 semi shortly after that, the 23 years on my profile is just how long I have had THIS company.

snowblind, not saying that you should do anything thing different, all I'm saying is there are solutions and options out there, that's all.

38 years. Since I was born. And where did you learn math????? Now I don't go on duty for fuel until I open the door. And I go off duty once I'm back in the truck.
