Good idea! But steering with your hands is really overrated. Sorry it took me a couple minutes to respond. It's hard to keep up in this Dallas traffic.

LMAO!!! I kept my laptop with me, used it as a GPS using Co Pilot truck and I also kept all my load info on it in an excel format that would auto calculate my OOR miles, pay, and all that good stuff.

Got a asus gaming laptop and a tablet. Tablet for looking up location and reading/watching Netflix. I bought a Verizon jetpack to get internet on the road

I use my phone for internet. I tried pilot wifi a couple years ago but the signal was horrible and always crashed. Just use the laptop for movies now. When I have hometime I get on Pirate Bay and download like twenty films for free.
Brandson Thanks this. -
When I was otr I bought a MacBook Air. It's small, powerful and the battery life is insane. I'd go days without charging it with nightly usage. Wifi through Verizon wireless. Worked like a champ.

I keep my laptop with me as well. I custom built a laptop stand so I could use it as my GPS. At the end of the day, I just take it off the stand & take it to the sleeper & get on the internet. I have a 300 watt inverter in the front & one in the sleeper.
I keep my GPS software loaded & on during the day & never have my wifi on. Up to this point since 2004, I have never had an issue with Law enforcement. If they want to check, they will only see the GPS software running... no internet. -
